The Holy Rosary
of the Roman Catholic Church
"The Rosary is my favorite prayer. A Marvelous prayer! Marvelous in its simplicity and its depth."
Saint John Paul II

God made us and our hearts are made for God. We can only experience the fullness of peace, happiness, and love if we are in unity with God. Prayer is one of the best ways to achieve that unity. The Rosary is one of the best forms of prayer to open our hearts to God.
When we love with a grateful heart, the image of God in us shines through most clearly. As Catholics we are called to live a life of holiness. To live a life without sin and to do our best to put ourselves in a state of grace. We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves and we are asked to help the sick, the poor, the elderly, children in need, and friends and relatives who are distressed, as best as we are able. We are called to live our lives in the fullness of the truth and to make decisions based on a fully informed conscious.
Praying the Rosary every day is one of the best ways to put ourselves in a state of grace, and achieve all the other blessings listed above. Praying the Rosary is one of the best ways to live out our lives in contentment, peace, and in the fullness of happiness that God wants for us.
Many of our struggles in life center around two themes: Why God does not act the way we want God to, and why we do not act the way God wants us to. Prayer is the precise point where those themes find unity. Prayer brings light where there is darkness, peace where there is discord, and comfort where there is sorrow. Once you get into good prayer habits, what you will find is that being prayerful, and being in unity with God, is not work, effort, or a sacrifice of any kind. That is just the way that it should be.
